Bike & Scooter-Sharing Services in the City

A Note from Majority Leader Ryan

The popularity of app-based alternative ride services JUMP bikes by UBER, and Bird and Lime e-scooters has been growing over the past year.

And while there has been great enthusiasm for these alternate transportation services among some residents, there have also been concerns voiced by business owners and residents who are less enthused by bikes and scooters parked scattershot in front of homes and businesses, or by the reckless operation by some users who speed down streets and sidewalks.

Which is why I have introduced a resolution calling for a formal and thorough analysis of these services in the City by the administration.

You can read the full announcement about this resolution here.

I will keep you posted as we progress with this quality of life issue for the Ward and the City.
