The ongoing project to manage storm water run off on Pleasant Valley Parkway with the installation of a tree filtration system is well underway. The following is an update on the work that’s been completed to date by Dicenzo Corp, the contractor overseeing the work:
1.
Four tree filters units are scheduled to be completed by the end of this month, with the exception of the tree planting. Dicenzo Corp. will be on site with his crew this week to begin excavation and masonry work for filter box installation.
2.
Approximate 70 yards Bio retention material was delivered on November 4. The second round delivery date is TBD.
3.
Four granite curbs scuppers installation began week of September 30.
4.
Sediment debris was removed and disposed on all three existing outlet pipes. Stone base materials were installed the week of October 6.
5.
Department of Public Works Sewer Division vacuumed debris within drain lines and catch basin on October 18.
As the work continues, I will do my best to update you on this very necessary work that will help manage run off into the Woonasquatucket River and the Narragansett Bay by extension. Thank you to everyone involved in this very important water management project!
